Privacy policy.
Short version: we collect almost nothing, and your app data never leaves your browser.
Summary: this website does not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels or cookies. The apps store your records only in your own browser. The only personal data SiliconLab receives is what you choose to email.
What this site collects
siliconlab.online is a static website. It sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics, advertising or fingerprinting scripts. Standard web server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) are retained briefly for security and operational purposes, as is normal for any web host.
How the apps handle your data
The SiliconLab apps (Learning OS, FPGA Lab Tracker, Embedded Debug Console, Chip Career Planner, Hardware Content Planner, Team Training Portal) store the records you create in your browser’s local storage on your own device. That data is never transmitted to SiliconLab or any server. Consequences worth knowing:
- Your records are private to the browser and device you used.
- Clearing browser site data deletes your records; use the built-in JSON/CSV export to keep backups.
- Records do not sync between devices.
Email enquiries
If you contact SiliconLab by email, the information you send is used to respond to your enquiry and scope work you request. It is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or added to any mailing list without your consent.

Platform data handling · updated 24 September 2026
Accounts store your email, profile, account status and password hash where password registration is used. Google sign-in shares identity information after authorization. Authenticator enrollment secrets are encrypted; recovery-code hashes and login sessions support account security. Remembered sessions expire after 30 days; ordinary sessions expire after 12 hours.
Website enquiries are stored in the platform inbox and may generate an acknowledgement email. Project records, uploaded reference files, test evidence, purchases and publication plans are retained for administration and delivery. Project-resource downloads require authorized admin access. The six personal browser lab tools retain their records in your browser storage; use their export function for a backup.
reCAPTCHA processes verification information through Google to reduce automated abuse. Configured email uses mx1.finiteskills.com. Payments use Stripe only after merchant configuration; card details are handled by the payment provider. YouTube publishing requires separate channel authorization. Contact support@siliconlab.online for access, correction or deletion requests and questions about retained records.
